Trying to figure out why the photo or video you’ve uploaded on BeReal is not posting?
Being able to keep our loved ones updated with our lives through social media is among the best things we take for granted in our modern world. However, it can be annoying if you share something on your feed and find out it was not uploaded or posted.
There are various reasons why you can’t upload on BeReal. Most of the time, it’s due to server-related problems.
On the other hand, it can also be due to a restricted account, slow network connections, or improper device configurations.
To help you, we’ve decided to show you what to do if BeReal is not posting your photos or videos.
Let’s dive right in!
1. Check BeReal Servers.
When you encounter issues with BeReal, the first thing you should do is check the servers. Since BeReal is an online platform, its servers play a significant role in how the entire service functions.
You can use third-party sites like UpDownRadar to check the current status of BeReal.
If there are reported issues with the platform, the only thing you have to do is wait. BeReal’s team could already be working on the problem and should resolve it within a few hours.
On the other hand, you can head to the next solution if there’s nothing wrong with BeReal.
2. Restart Your Device.
Restarting your device allows your system to reload BeReal’s resources. This should also resolve minor bugs and temporary errors on your system that may have occurred during use.
- Locate the Power button on your device.
- Hold it down until the options menu appears.
- Tap on Restart to reboot your device.
iPhone X, 11, 12, or later:
- Hold the Volume Down and Side buttons until the ‘Slide to Power Off’ prompt appears.
- Now, drag the slider to the right and wait for 30 seconds.
- Press the Side button afterward to turn on your device.
iPhone 6, 7, 8, or SE:
- Locate the Power button on your device.
- Hold the button until the ‘Slide to Power Off’ prompt appears.
- Drag the slider to the right and wait 30 seconds before turning on your device.
Once done, try posting on BeReal to check if the problem is solved.
3. Check Your Network.
If you are connected to a wireless network, it may be having issues at the moment. To confirm this, perform a test on your network using Fast.com to measure its upload and download bandwidth.
Try restarting your modem or router if the result indicates a problem with your connection. Unplug your router’s power cable from the outlet and wait for at least five seconds before plugging it back in.
Re-run the test afterward to check if the problem is solved. Contact your service provider if you continue encountering issues and ask them to fix their service.
4. Switch to Cellular Data.
If you’re experiencing problems with your network, we suggest switching to cellular data if you need to post on BeReal. However, remember that this will consume your monthly bandwidth if you are not on an unlimited plan.
For Android users, swipe downwards from the top of your screen to access the notifications panel. Look for ‘mobile data’ or something similar and tap on it.
If you use an iOS device, swipe downwards from the top-right corner of your display to access the control center. Tap on ‘Cellular Data’ to enable it.
Go back to BeReal and see if you can post on your profile now.
5. Update BeReal.
Updating the BeReal app on your device might also help solve this issue. Possibly, the version of the app installed on your device has a problem that prevents you from posting photos or videos.
- Launch Google Play Store on your device.
- Tap on your Profile inside the search box.
- Go to Manage Apps & Device.
- Next, access the Updates Available tab.
- Find BeReal and tap the Update button beside it.
- Open the App Store on your device.
- Now, tap on your Profile in the upper right corner.
- Look for BeReal and tap Update.
Try uploading a photo or video on the app afterward and check if the problem is solved.

PureVPN also works with streaming services like HBO Max, Netflix, and more.
7. Clear BeReal Cache.

- Now, tap on More Options in the upper-right corner.
- Go to the Other tab.
- Tap on Clear Cache.
