You signed up with SiteGround and have already installed WordPress on it.

But now you have to find a way to transfer or “point” the domain name that you had previously purchased from a domain provider (like NameCheap, GoDaddy, Google Domains, etc.) so that you can use it with your new hosting.

In this guide, I’ll show you step-by-step on how you can get your domain working with your SiteGround plan and setup/change nameservers of domain for SiteGround no matter where you’ve purchased that domain from.

Let’s dive right in.

How to Change Nameservers of Domain for Siteground: 5 Steps

  1. Head over to Siteground and then hit the Log In button (top right) to access into your User Area.
  2. Next, click on the My Accounts tab. You should find that it is right next to the Home tab.

Some of the most popular domain providers are NameCheap, Google Domains, GoDaddy, 101Domains, Gandi etc. Below I will guide you with the steps for the five given domain providers that I just mentioned. If your domain provider is not in this list, please comment down below or look for the steps that are provided by them on their site.

If you bought your domain from NameCheap

  1. Sign in to your Namecheap account and then select Domain List from the left hand sidebar. Then click on Manage right next to your domain name that you had purchased.
