1. Check Twitch Servers.

Unfortunately, server-related problems can’t be addressed on your end. If the servers are down, the best thing you can do is wait.
On the other hand, you can move on to the next solution if there’s nothing wrong with the servers.
2. Restart Your PC.
One of the simplest ways to fix most issues on Twitch or any application is to restart your device. This should allow your system to reload its resources and eliminate any temporary errors that may have occurred.

- First, access the Start Menu on your Taskbar.
- After that, click on the Power Options tab.
- Lastly, choose Restart to reboot your system.

3. Re-Login to Your Account.

To confirm if your network is the problem, perform a test using Fast.com to measure your network’s current upload and download speed.
If the test indicates an issue with your connection, restart your router to re-establish the link with your ISP’s servers. Unplug your router from the outlet and wait for 5 to 10 seconds before reconnecting it.
Once done, re-run the test to check if your network is now running properly. If not, contact your internet service provider and ask them to fix the issue.
6. Clear Your Browsing Data.
Clearing your browsing data might also help address the issue with Twitch chat. This should eliminate corrupted caches and cookies in your system, which causes your browser and websites to run into issues.
See the steps below to clear your browsing data:
- First, open your web browser and press CTRL + H keys on your keyboard to open the History tab.
- After that, click on Clear Browsing Data from the side menu.
- Now, change the Time Range to All Time and include caches and cookies in the process.
- Lastly, hit the Clear Data button.
Go back to Twitch afterward and check if chats are now showing up on your stream.
7. Flush Your DNS.
Another reason why chats are not showing on Twitch is a corrupted DNS cache. DNS is a vital part of the internet. Without it, your system and browser won’t be able to communicate with website servers.
Here’s what you need to do to flush your DNS:
- On your keyboard, press the Windows + X keys to access the Quick Menu.
- Now, click on Command Prompt (Admin).
- Inside CMD, type ‘ipconfig /flushdns’ and hit Enter.
Once done, restart your computer and go back to Twitch to check if the problem is solved.
8. Contact Twitch.
If chats are still not showing on your Twitch stream, there might be an issue with your account that needs attention from Twitch’s end.
