No one likes being bombarded with notifications unless if you’re phreak (phone + freak).
One such notification on the new Samsung Galaxy S9 has been the annoying “<app name here> is displaying over other apps” notification which is pretty much useless.
In this guide, I’ll show you how you can disable the ‘Display over other apps’ notification on your Galaxy S9 in just three simple little steps.
How to Disable Display Over Other Notification on Galaxy S9: 3 Steps
The steps are similar to when we had disabled the persistent battery usage notification in this post.
Step 1: Go ahead and swipe down for your notifications shade from the top of your screen, and then swipe right on the “<app name here> is displaying over other apps” notification.
Step 2: Now you should see a Settings cog icon to the left. Tap on that Settings cog to access your notification settings for your Galaxy S9.
Step 3: Once you’re in the App Notifications settings, scroll a little down and under the Display Over Other Apps heading look for the setting for the app that is displayed over others in the list of the system’s notifications. All you have to do is just turn it off.
Voila!
You won’t be disturbed with “<app name here> is displaying over other apps” notification ever again (unless of course you enable it back). 🙂
Share this guide with anyone or whether they’re your friends or your family and help them if they’re looking to get rid of the annoying “<app name here> is displaying over other apps” notification on their Galaxy S9.
