We’ve previously covered on how you can remove your Messages and AirDrop contacts from appearing in the share sheet on your iPhone and iPad.
But, as of recently, Discord jumped onto the bandwagon as well to implement this controversial feature by default for Discord users.
The reason why it is controversial is that it’s easy to accidentally click on someone who you may not even know fondly and share with them something that can be private.
In this guide (from a fellow Discorder myself) I will show you how you can remove and disable your Discord contacts from appearing on the share sheet on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 13.
Without further ado, let’s jump right in.
How to Disable Discord Contacts from Share Sheet iOS: 3 Steps.
- Jump into your Discord app on your iPhone or iPad and then tap on your profile (it will be the one located on the bottom far right corner)
- Next, tap on Privacy & Safety option.
- Now scroll down the page, and under the heading Sharing, you should see the option iOS Conversation Sharing. All you have to do is just switch this setting off, and it will disable your Discord contacts from appearing in the share sheet on your device.
You can test this, for instance, by going into the Safari app and then tapping the Share button to see if the Discord contacts are removed from the share sheet.
Help! I tried the steps above, but I still see contacts appear in the share sheet.
If you still see your Discord contacts appear in the Share sheet, then make sure to force close all your apps by swiping up from the bottom of your screen and then holding it in the middle. This should bring up all the apps that are running in the background of your device. Simply, swipe each app away to close it.
Once done, you can reopen an app like Safari or Google and then test out once again to see if the changes take effect.
We are eager to know how these steps work for you, so let us know down below. If you have any questions, again comment down below, and we will try our best to help out. ❤
