How to Fix Fall Guys Crashing at Startup

Is Fall Guys crashing at startup?

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a platform battle royale game from Mediatonic and Devolver Digital. The game was launched during the peak of COVID-19, which gave people something to do during the series of lockdowns.

Fall Guys was warmly received by many players and averaged around 120,000 players during its first few months.

However, the game faced tough competition with the likes of Among Us and Animal Crossing.

While the game is mostly stable, a handful of users experienced various issues with the game. One of the most common issues on Fall Guys is that it keeps crashing at startup.

This problem can be very annoying since it doesn’t give out an error code, leaving you clueless about what’s going on. Based on what we know, this issue can be due to server-related issues, third-party apps, improper system configuration, or broken installation files.

To help you out, we’ve decided to make a guide for fixing Fall Guys if it keeps crashing at startup.

Let’s get started!

1. Check Fall Guys’ Status.

If Fall Guys refuse to launch on your PC, the first thing you should do is check the game’s status. There might be an ongoing issue on the platform, causing it to malfunction or crash on your end.

You can do this by visiting Fall Guys’ Public Issue Tracker, where you can see reported, confirmed, and solved issues on the game.

2. Check If Your System Meets the Requirements.

One of the main reasons why Fall Guys is crashing at startup is if your system doesn’t meet the game’s hardware requirements. While the game doesn’t have fancy graphics, it still puts a reasonable amount of load on your system.

Here are the minimum requirements to run Fall Guys on PC:

  • OS: Windows 10 64 bit only
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 or AMD equivalent
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7950
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 2 GB available space

Consider upgrading your system if it doesn’t meet the game’s minimum requirement to avoid further issues.

3. Restart Your PC.

If your computer’s specifications can handle Fall Guys’ requirements, try restarting your system. This should reload your system resources and eliminate any temporary errors that may have occurred during runtime.

  1. First, press the Windows key on your keyboard to access the Start Menu.
  2. After that, click on the Power Options tab.
