  1. Press Windows + I keys simultaneously on your keyboard to open Windows Settings.
  2. Inside the Settings window, select Accounts from the list of options available.
  3. Now click on Email & accounts using the left panel and check if you are logged in with your Microsoft account.
  1. If not, then select Your info from the left panel and click on Sign in with a Microsoft account.

Follow the on-screen instructions and then check if the issue is resolved.

2. Reset Microsoft Store.

Another easy way to fix the issue at hand is by resetting the Windows Store. Resetting the Windows Store will eliminate the corruption errors by setting the application back to its initial state. 

Be aware that resetting the Windows Store will also wipe out any data associated with the app. 

Here is how you can reset the Microsoft Store:

  1. Press Windows + R keys simultaneously to open a Run dialogue box. 
  2. Type cmd in the dialogue box and Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open Command Prompt with administrative rights. 
  3. Now type the command mentioned below in the elevated Command Prompt and hit Enter to execute it.
Reset Microsoft Store Cache
  1. Once the process is complete, check if the error is resolved.

3. Install Pending Updates.

  2. Type ‘ms-settings:windowsupdate’ in the dialogue box and hit Enter.

4. Verify the Device Limit.

Microsoft limits the number of devices under one account that can install its store software to 10. If you are trying to use the Microsoft Store after this limit is exceeded, your screen will display the error under consideration. 

Here is how you can check the connected devices and remove the ones you no longer use:

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft account using the link here.
  2. Click on Manage device limits and check the number of connected devices.

5. Remove Microsoft Store Database Files.

7. Register Microsoft Store.

Re-registering is another method of resetting the application. By doing so, the app will be reverted to its initial state, which resolves the application’s corruption errors. However, re-registering does not remove the app’s data from your device. 

Here is how you can re-register the Microsoft Store on your PC:

  1. Press both the Windows + X keys simultaneously and click on Windows PowerShell (Admin). This will launch PowerShell with administrative privileges. 
  2. Copy and paste the command mentioned below in the Powershell window. Press Enter to execute it.
