How to Fix Hulu Not Working on Vizio TV

Is Hulu not working on your Vizio TV?

Besides the dedicated mobile app, Hulu is also available for modern Smart and Android TVs. This is a great addition since it allows subscribers to enjoy Hulu shows on a larger screen in their living room.

However, users might find themselves getting frustrated instead of being relaxed if Hulu decides not to work on their TVs.

Unfortunately, this is the case for several Vizio TV owners.

According to the reports, some Vizio TV users are struggling to stream shows on Hulu, while others can’t access the app at all.

Most of the time, this problem on Hulu occurs due to outdated versions of your television’s firmware. On the other hand, server issues, slow network connections, and improper configurations could also cause this problem.

Today, we’ve decided to make a guide for fixing Hulu if it’s not working on your Vizio TV.

Let’s get right into it!

1. Check Hulu Servers.

When you encounter issues on Hulu, it is a good practice to check the servers before doing anything on your end. This way, you can identify whether the problem is coming from your end or Hulu’s servers.

You can use third-party sites like Downdetector to view the current status of Hulu’s services.

If there are ongoing problems with the servers, the best thing you can do is wait since server-related issues can’t be resolved on your end. On the other hand, you can head to the next solution below if Hulu’s servers are online.

2. Restart Your TV.

If you are having a hard time accessing Hulu on your Vizio TV, try restarting your device first. A temporary bug or glitch may have occurred on your system, causing Hulu and other apps to malfunction.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Turn off your television using the remote.
  2. Once turned off, unplug the power cable from the outlet.
  3. After several seconds, reconnect the power cable and restart your device.

Go back to Hulu afterward to check if the problem is solved.

3. Check Your Network Connection.

Since you are using an online service, you’ll need a stable internet connection to stream movies and shows on Hulu. If you are experiencing playback issues or can’t access the app at all, it might indicate a problem with your network.

To confirm this, perform a speed test using Fast.com to measure your network’s upload and download bandwidth.

If the result indicates a problem with your network, power cycle your modem or router to re-establish the link with your ISP’s servers. Unplug your router from the outlet and wait for 5 to 10 seconds before reconnecting it.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. First, press the Menu button on your remote and choose the System option.
  2. After that, click on Check for Updates
