Wondering why you are not getting a verification code on Clubhouse?
Clubhouse is an invite-only social media platform that focuses on clubs and voice chat rooms where users discuss various topics of interest. The platform relies on phone numbers to send invites to other users and verify the action taken on every account.
Verification codes are needed when logging in to your Clubhouse account and making changes to your profile. However, if you’re here right now, you are probably trying to figure out why you’re not getting a verification code on Clubhouse.
Most of the time, this problem is caused by Clubhouse’s servers receiving too many requests and unable to handle them. On the other hand, user errors and improper configurations on your end could also be the culprit.
To help you address this issue, we’ve decided to make a guide on who to do if you are not getting a verification code on Clubhouse.
Let’s get started!
1. Check the Phone Number You’ve Entered.
The phone number you’ve used to register on Clubhouse is needed when logging into your account. If you are not receiving the verification code when signing in, check the phone number you’ve entered if it is correct.
Ensure that you have selected the correct country for your mobile number and used a valid country code before pressing the Next button.
After checking your phone number, try to request a verification code again and see if you will receive it.
2. If You Use a Dual-SIM, Do This!
If Dual-SIM is activated on your iOS device, you need to change a few settings first to receive the verification code on your mobile number.
Since the code is sent to the phone number you’ve used to register, you need to set it as the primary SIM on your iOS device to receive messages from it.
See the steps below to change the primary number on your iOS device:
- On your home screen, tap the Settings app to launch it on your device.
- Now, tap on Cellular and choose the phone number you want to set as Primary.
- Finally, tap on the Cellular Plan Label and select Primary.
To learn more about using Dual-SIM on iOS, check out the official guide on Apple’s website.
After changing the SIM labels on your iOS device, try requesting a verification code again.
3. Check Clubhouse Servers.
Every time you encounter Clubhouse errors (or other online platforms), you should always check its servers’ status.
Online platforms rely on their servers to deliver their services and features to the users. If Clubhouse servers go down, expect to encounter multiple problems on the platform until the issue gets sorted out.
Visit their official Twitter page, where their team is active in giving updates about the status of Clubhouse and its servers.
Since most server-related problems are only addressable on their end, the best thing to do for now is to wait. However, you can still try the remaining methods below and see if anything works.
4. Turn Off VPN.
VPNs or virtual private networks are third-party applications that provide security when you’re browsing online. They work by filtering your data through one of their servers and changing your IP address to prevent hackers from obtaining your data.
However, some VPNs don’t work that well and could interfere with your network connection. Your device may struggle to communicate with Clubhouse’s servers if your internet connection becomes unstable.
Disable your VPN first and try to request a verification code again.
You can also check PureVPN if you don’t want to use the internet without protection. Unlike other VPNs, it doesn’t interfere with your network and keeps it stable while keeping your identity private.
5. Check Your Internet Connection.
If you are not getting a verification code on Clubhouse, your network connection could be running slow. To confirm this, perform a speed test using Fast.com to measure your network’s current upload and download bandwidth.
Re-establish the link with your service provider’s servers if the test result indicates that your network connection is running slow. Find the power cable of your router and unplug it from the wall outlet for at least 10 seconds before plugging it back in.
Once your router has restarted, perform another test on your network to confirm if it is now running correctly. If your network continues to run slow, contact your ISP and ask them to address the issue with their service.
6. Try Using Transistor.
Still can’t access your Clubhouse account since you are not getting a verification code? Try hosting your event on Transistor.

7. Restart Your Device or Toggle Airplane Mode.
Temporary bugs and glitches may occur on your iOS device and cause the applications you use to malfunction. In this case, restart your iOS device to reload its operating system and resources.
Check out the steps below to restart your iOS device:
- On your device, locate the Power button and press it down until the ‘Slide to Power Off’ screen appears.
- After that, drag the slider to the right until your display turns off.
- Finally, tap the Power button again to restart your iOS device.
Once done, go back to Clubhouse and try to request a verification code again.
You can also try toggling Airplane Mode on your device if you are not getting a verification code on Clubhouse. A bug may have occurred on the feature, and it is still enabled even if it shows as turned off.
Swipe downwards from the top right corner of your display to open the Control Center. After that, tap on the Airplane Mode button to turn it on. Once done, tap it again to disable the feature on your device.
After toggling Airplane Mode, go back to Clubhouse and request a verification code to check if the problem is solved.
8. Reinstall Clubhouse.
If the problem still exists, Clubhouse’s installation files could have gotten corrupted during an update or while in use. On the other hand, Clubhouse may not be installed properly on your device, which causes the issue to occur.
We suggest deleting the existing copy of Clubhouse from your device and reinstall it on the app store to fix the problem.
Follow the steps below to reinstall Clubhouse on your device:
- First, unlock your iOS device and find Clubhouse from your home screen.
- After that, tap and hold its app icon until the selection menu appears on your display.
- Lastly, tap on Remove App to uninstall Clubhouse.
Once done, fire up the App Store on your device and reinstall the Clubhouse app from there.
9. Report the Problem to Clubhouse.
For the last method, we recommend reporting the problem to Clubhouse if you’re still not getting a verification code on Clubhouse.
Visit their support page and submit a ticket to let their team know about the issue on the platform. Provide the required details on the form and attach an image of the problem if possible to help their team assess the situation faster.
On the other hand, visit their Knowledge Center and check the frequently asked questions page for any answers.
