How to Refund Subscription from Bumble

Wondering how you can refund your subscription from Bumble?

Bumble is an online dating app released in 2014. It can be considered the closest competitor to Tinder, with over 40 million users in 2020. In fact, its founder and first employees all came from Tinder.

Although the app is free, Bumble offers premium features to help you meet your match faster.

However, subscribing to these services is not cheap and requires a monthly payment. Due to this, you need to ensure that you can maximize these features before availing of a subscription to get your money’s worth.

Now, if you’re here, we can assume that you tried out Bumble’s premium services and decided that it’s not for you.

Don’t worry, though, as there is still a chance for you to get a refund for your subscription.

Today, we’ll show you what to do if you want to refund your subscription from Bumble.

Let’s dive right in!

Does Bumble Offer Refunds?

Unfortunately, Bumble does not give refunds to its users directly. It’s stated on their Terms and Conditions that any purchase made in the Bumble app is non-refundable, so you can’t request a refund from their team even if you don’t intend to purchase a subscription.

However, you can try a few things outside of Bumble to get a refund.

On the other hand, users from Arizona, Connecticut, California, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, North Carolina, New York, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, and Ohio can still cancel their subscription until midnight of the 3rd business day after their subscription date.

What about other users?

1. Request a Refund from the App Store.

If you’re an iOS user, there’s a chance for Apple to grant a refund if you used Apple Pay as your payment option. However, you have to take note that you cannot request a refund for transactions with pending status.

It can also take 30 – 60 days to get a refund if ever they grant your request.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. First, go to Apple’s Support page using any browser.
  2. Next, enter your account credentials and access your account.
  3. Access the ‘I’d Like to….’ tab and choose Request a Refund

Once done, wait for Apple’s response and follow their instructions from there.

2. Request a Refund from Google.

For Android users, Google gives you 48 hours after your purchase to request a refund. If you’ve just availed the subscription, you still have time to get a refund if you decide the app is not for you.

Check the steps below to guide you through the process:

  1. Go to Google Play’s support page and log in to your account.
  2. Now, select Bumble from the list of your purchases.
  3. Finally, follow the prompts to continue.
