2. Ensure You Have An Active Internet Connection.

An active internet connection is a must for a Google Meet call. So, if you’re facing an issue while screen sharing on Google Meet on Mac, it may be because of a poor internet connection. Try disabling your camera for the time being and only share your screen to fix the issue.

To resolve the issue, first, check your internet strength by following these steps:

  1. Launch Safari from your Mac.
  2. Head over to fast.com and let the page load automatically.
  3. After a few moments, your internet speed will be displayed on the screen.

3. Check Google Meet Host Settings.

If you’re a participant in a Google meeting and cannot share your screen, it may be because the host has disabled Screen share for participants. If so, you must ask the host to check their Host settings.

Similarly, if you’re the host in a meeting, the participants cannot share their screens. So, you will need to check your Google Meet host settings and enable the option to allow the participants access to this feature.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to Google Meet from your preferred browser and start a meeting.
  2. Now from the meeting, click on the lock icon from the lower-right corner of the screen.
