How to Fix Siri No Audio on Bluetooth

Wondering why Siri has no audio on Bluetooth?

Apple’s Siri has come a long way from just a regular voice assistant. Despite the updates it received in recent years, it is still vulnerable to problems.

If you are reading this, we can assume that Siri has no audio on Bluetooth devices. This can be annoying if you often use AirPods or any wireless earbuds on your iPhone.

Usually, improper configurations and connectivity problems cause this issue with Siri. However, it can also be due to third-party applications or corrupted software.

In this guide, we will show you what to do if Siri has no audio on your Bluetooth devices.

Let’s begin!

1. Restart Your Device.

Before changing your configurations, we recommend restarting your device first if Siri is not working properly. This should reload your system resources and refresh the connection with your Bluetooth device.

For iPhone X, 11, 12, or later:

  1. Hold down the Volume Down button and Side button until the ‘Slide to Power Off’ prompt appears.
  2. Now, drag the slider to the right and wait for 30 seconds.
  3. Press the Side button afterward to turn on your device.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go to your home screen and tap on Settings
  2. After that, tap on Bluetooth
  3. Locate your Bluetooth device and tap on Info (i)
  4. Finally, tap on Forget This Device and follow the instructions.

  1. First, tap on Settings from your home screen.
  2. Scroll down and access the Siri & Search tab.
  3. From here, make sure that Listen for Hey Siri and Allow Siri When Locked are enabled.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. On your iPhone, access Settings and tap on Siri & Search
  2. Now, turn off Listen for Hey Siri
  3. Turn it back on afterward and tap Continue when the ‘Set Up Hey Siri’ page appears. Follow the prompts and say each command that appears on your screen.

5. Use the Side Button Feature.

If you still can’t get Siri to appear when you are connected to Bluetooth, try using the side button to launch the voice assistant. However, keep in mind that this feature is not enabled by default so you’ll have to tweak your settings first.

See the guide below to set your side button to launch Siri:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Now, go to Siri & Search
  3. Find the Press Side Button for Siri option and enable it.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. First, open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. After that, access the General tab.
  3. Lastly, tap on Software Updates and choose Download and Install

8. Check Siri Responses.

If you can’t hear anything when you activate Siri, it’s possible that you are in Silent mode.

However, changing your sound settings might not be applicable, if you are at work or a meeting. Fortunately, you can allow Siri to speak responses even when in silent mode.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Launch Settings on your device.
  2. After that, navigate to Siri & Search > Siri Responses
  3. Finally, set the feature to Always.
