Kraken is probably one of the first places you will look to get your Bitcoins and Ethers in so that you can trade them to buy other alt-coins like Ripple, EOS, or any other weirdly any names alt-coin there is.
Yes, Kraken is cheap, Kraken is everywhere, Kraken is used by everyone but Kraken can be a nightmare especially if you are just learning the ropes of crypto trading and trying to understand how to get started by depositing your cryptocurrency from your wallet on Coinbase.
In this quick and simple guide, I’ll show you how you can transfer from Coinbase to Kraken in just less than 3 minutes of your time. 🙂
How to Transfer from Coinbase to Kraken: 5 Steps
Step 1: Jump into your Coinbase and then at the top of your screen select Accounts. (if you’re on mobile then Accounts will be at the bottom of your screen).
Step 2: Next, choose the cryptocurrency that you want to send from your wallets.
Step 3: Now what you have to do is enter the address that is found in your Kraken. (If you’re on mobile, then tap on the little paper airplane icon which is on your top right hand side of your screen and then you will be asked to enter the amount you want to send and tap on Send. Don’t worry! It won’t be sent yet because you still need to give it your Kraken deposit address).
To find this address just jump into your Kraken account and just tap on Funding (it’s on the top menu right next to Trade)
Next, just choose the cryptocurrency that you want to deposit from the side menu that’s on your left.
Once that’s done, just tap on Generate New Address to get the Deposit Address. Voila!
Step 4: You’re doing great! Now all you have to do is just enter the address that you just got under Recipient in your Coinbase. Just choose the amount you want to send. (On Mobile just add the address that you just got and then hit Send and you’re done!)
Step 5: Finally, hit Continue and make sure to check all the details of the transaction and then complete the send. Done.
Your cryptocurrency will now be transferred from your Coinbase to your Kraken account. Just give it 30-45 minutes (or maybe longer at times) an then you can check your Kraken account to see if it has been deposited yet. You can also check your Coinbase for Transactions if it has successfully gone through.
