Can’t figure out why WhatsApp is not working on Wi-Fi?

2. Restart Your Device.
A temporary bug or glitch may have occurred on your device, causing connectivity issues on WhatsApp. To rule this out, restart your device to reload its resources and eliminate possible errors.
On Android devices, here’s what you need to do:
- First, locate the Power button on your device.
- After that, press and hold its icon until the selection menu appears.

For iOS users, follow these steps to restart your device:
- On your home screen, access the Assistive Touch and go to Device.
- Now, tap on More.

3. Check Your Network Connection.
A slow or unstable network connection could also be why WhatsApp is not working when you connect to your Wi-Fi. To confirm this, run a test on your network using Fast.com to measure its upload and download speed.
If the test result indicates that your network is the problem, restart your modem or router to re-establish the connection with your ISP. Unplug your router from the outlet and wait for 5 to 10 seconds before reconnecting it.
Once done, perform another test to check if the problem is solved. If not, contact your service provider and ask them to fix their service.
4. Reset Your Network Settings.

5. Turn Off VPN.
VPNs are third-party apps that protect your network and data from hackers and other harmful entities. They mask your default IP address to hide your location and filter your data to secure sensitive data like bank accounts, passwords, and card numbers.
Unfortunately, VPNs can also introduce delays to your network, especially if you are not connected to a high-speed server.

7. Reinstall WhatsApp.
