How to Fix White Screen Issue on MetaMask

2. Restart Your System. 

If restarting your browser isn’t enough, we recommend restarting your entire system. This way, you can ensure that there are no bugs and glitches on your computer.

For Windows, here’s what you need to do: 

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard to open the Start Menu.
2. Next, access the Power Options tab. 
3. Finally, click Restart to reboot your system.

Another way to fix the white screen issue on MetaMask is to update the browser plugin. The current version of MetaMask you’re using might have an existing issue that causes the white screen problem. 

For Chrome users, here’s how to update MetaMask: 

1. On your browser, click on the MetaMask extension. 
2. Next, click on Manage Extension. 
3. Finally, click Update in the upper left corner of the window.

1. First, open Firefox on your computer.

4. Re-Enable MetaMask. 

Another way to reload your MetaMask data is to re-enable the plugin on your browser. Your browser may have run into an error, causing MetaMask to malfunction. 

For Chrome users, here’s what you need to do: 

1. On your browser, click on More Options and access Settings. 
2. Next, click on the Extensions tab from the side menu. 
3. Finally, click the toggle switch to turn off/on MetaMask.

On Firefox, see the steps below to re-enable it: 

1. First, open Firefox on your computer. 
2. After that, right-click on MetaMask and choose Manage Extensions. 
3. Lastly, click on the toggle switch beside MetaMask to turn it off. 

Once done, restart your browser and check if the problem is solved. 

5. Reinstall MetaMask. 

If none of the solutions above worked for you, the last thing you can do is reinstall MetaMask on your browser. This way, you can ensure that there are no corrupted files on your system and you have the latest working version of the plugin. 

For Chrome users, see the steps below to remove MetaMask: 

1. On your browser, click on More Options and choose Settings. 
2. Now, access the Extensions tab on the side drawer. 
3. Finally, locate MetaMask and choose Remove.
