2. Install the Update Manually.

3. Update Using Media Creation Tool.

Here is what you need to do:

  1. Type cmd in the search bar and click on Run as administrator to launch Command Prompt with administrative rights. 
  2. Now type the commands mentioned below and hit Enter after each to execute them. These commands will stop all the Windows Update Services. 
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
  1. Once done, type the commands mentioned below one by one to restart the service. 
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
  1. Finally, restart your PC and check if resetting the update components resolved the error.

6. Repair Install. 

If none of the above methods work, you can perform a repair install. The repair installation process involves installing a new image of Windows over your existing installation. 

It is safe to perform a repair install because it will replace broken system files while preserving your personal files. 

Here is how you can perform a repair install on your PC:

  1. Download the Windows 10 ISO file and save it on your Desktop. 
  2. Access the file. 
  3. Find setup.exe and double-click it to start the repair. 
  4. Once the process completes, open the elevated Command Prompt and try executing commands to see if this method solved your problem.
