How to Cancel App Subscriptions on iPhone

Want to learn various ways to cancel app subscriptions on iPhone?

When developing applications was a rather new concept, only a few of them were required to be purchased. But with time, many of the options available in the App Store either demand one-time purchases or regular subscriptions.

The reason behind it is to support the continuous program development and allow the creators to run a sustainable business. However, many users don’t realize what they’re signing up for until they notice constant transactions in their credit card balance.

Lucky for you, we’ve concluded this guide to help you resolve the issue. By reading through, you’ll not only learn where to find your current subscriptions to app services but also how to cancel them, if needed.

So what are you waiting for? Let’s get started!

1. Cancel App Subscriptions on iPhone Through Settings.

Certain apps offer you a free weekly or monthly trial when you first download them on your device. However, they automatically become paid subscriptions when this period ends. So, if you don’t want to continue using the app and want to cancel its subscription, one way to do it is through your iPhone’s Settings.

Even to many old Apple users, finding the right setting to cancel the in-app subscriptions seems like an impossible task. That is because the feature is not directly accessible in the application, in fact, it is almost hidden. In that case, navigate to the correct location by following the instructions below to view and/or cancel your subscriptions.

Here’s all you need to do:

  1. To start, head to the Settings app from your device.
  2. Next, tap on your Apple profile which is located at the top of the screen.

Keep in mind that when you cancel your subscription will end after the current billing period is complete. You can also use this method to manage your subscriptions, such as choosing another subscription offer, etc.

2. Cancel App Subscriptions From the App Store.

Another way to access the active subscriptions is via the App Store. To make it easier and quicker for users to check out their subscriptions, Apple has gathered all your subscriptions in the App Store. This seems logical as the App Store is the first location a user would guess where the subscription list would be available.

Not only can you see the apps that you have subscriptions for, but you can also manage them through this app. One thing to know before using this method is that you can only access the in-app subscriptions through the App Store. This means that you won’t be able to manage iTunes and other subscriptions linked to your Apple ID.

Here’s what you need to do to cancel your active subscriptions on your iPhone:

  1. Begin by going to the App Store on your iPhone.
  2. After that, select your Profile icon located at the upper right corner of the screen.
