Most of the time, this issue occurs due to the wrong input of authenticator codes. On the other hand, it can also be due to improper date and time settings, corrupted data, server issues, and outdated software.

Let’s begin!

1. Restart Your Computer. 

If you cannot access your Uplay account, we suggest restarting your computer first to rule out any temporary bugs and glitches. This should also reload your system resources. 

See the steps below to restart your PC: 

  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows key to open the Start Menu
  2. After that, access the Power Options tab. 
  3. Finally, choose Restart to reboot your system.

Go back to Uplay afterward and see if you can now access your account. 

2. Check If You Entered the Code Correctly. 

More often than not, fans who are having trouble using Google Authenticator enter the authentication code incorrectly. Before changing anything, double-check the authenticator code you’re using and ensure that you are entering it correctly. 

When entering the code, make sure that there are no spaces and that you’ve followed the case of each letter. 

3. Check Date & Time Settings. 

As it turns out, Google Authenticator might not work if your system date and time settings are not set correctly. Before accessing your Uplay account, ensure that the date and time on your devices are synced. 

Once done, give your devices another restart and see if the authenticator is now working on Uplay. 

4. Update Windows. 

You can also try updating your system if you still encounter issues with Google Authenticator on Uplay. This should patch any bugs or errors that cause connectivity problems with Uplay. 

See the steps below to update Windows: 

  1. On your computer, access the Start Menu and go to Windows Settings
  2. After that, click on Update & Security and click on Windows Update
  3. Finally, click on Check for Updates and follow the prompts.

Restart your system to apply the changes. Go back to Uplay to check if the problem is solved. 

5. Update Google Authenticator App. 

If Google Authenticator is still not working on Uplay, we suggest updating the authenticator app on your mobile device. 

Here’s what you need to do: 

  1. Go to the app drawer and tap on Google Play Store to launch it. 
  2. Now, tap on your Profile icon to access the pop-up menu. 
  3. Choose Manage Apps & Device and go to the Updates Available tab. 
  4. Finally, locate Google Authenticator and tap the Update button next to it.
