1. Restart the Browser.

3. Clear Microsoft Edge Cache and Site Data. 

Although cache can help users access previous websites quickly, it may become corrupted or outdated over time and interfere with the websites’ functionality. Hence, it’s a good practice to occasionally clear cache and cookies. 

So, if you’re dealing with the ‘Something went wrong’ error on Bing Chat, clear Microsoft Edge cache and site data to fix the issue. Here’s how to go about this:

  1. Launch Microsoft Edge on your PC. 
  2. After that, click on the three horizontal dots from the upper-right corner and choose Settings.

4. Update Microsoft Edge.

So, if you’re using third-party software, such as ExpressVPN or NordVPN, launch the program and click on Disconnect. Alternatively, you may disable VPN in Windows Settings by following these steps:

  1. From Settings, click on Network & internet
  2. Select VPN and click on the Disconnect button located next to the VPN you’re connected to.

6. Disable Extensions.

Simply follow these steps:

  1. Launch Microsoft Edge from your PC. 
  2. Click on the Extensions icon from the top bar and choose Manage extensions

7. Create a New Microsoft Account. 

Some users also reported that they were able to fix the error by using a new Microsoft account to access Bing Chat. This may be because the Bing bot bans your account if you give continuous malicious or jailbreak prompts. 

So, create a new Microsoft account by following the steps mentioned below:

  1. Go to the Microsoft Edge browser and head over to the Microsoft official website. 
  2. Click on Sign in from the top-right corner of the screen.
