How to Fix Roblox Stuck on Loading Screen

Are you trying to figure out why Roblox is stuck on loading screen?

Roblox is one of the most popular games among kids, and it kind of resembles the gameplay of Mojang’s Minecraft. The difference, though, is that Roblox is free-to-play, and it offers more customizability when it comes to creating mini-games.

Some of the best games on Roblox are Adopt Me, Jailbreak, Royal High, and Meep City.

However, there are also thousands of other games available on Roblox that you can try and play.

But first, you need to get past the loading screen.

If you’re reading this right now, we can assume that Roblox on your computer is stuck on the loading screen when you try to play a game.

Usually, this problem on Roblox is caused by faulty servers or a broken custom map. It can also be due to missing installation files, corrupted browser cache, or slow network connection.

Today, we’ve decided to make a guide for fixing Roblox if it’s stuck on the loading screen.

Let’s dive right in!

1. Check Roblox Servers.

The first thing that you should do whenever you run into problems while playing Roblox is to check the status of its servers. Given that it’s an online game, Roblox highly depends on its servers to work.

If Roblox is stuck on the loading screen, visit Downdetector to view the game’s current status.

Roblox Server Status

The only thing you can do if Roblox is down is wait for their team to fix the issue since server-related problems can’t be fixed on your end.

On the other hand, proceed to the following method if Roblox’s servers are up and running.

2. Restart Your Computer.

A good old restart of your system can be effective in fixing most minor issues on Roblox. While it sounds simple, rebooting your computer allows your system to reload its resources, which eliminates any temporary errors that may have occurred.

Follow the steps below to restart your computer:

  1. On the Taskbar, click on the Start Menu to open it.
  2. Next, access the Power Options tab.
  3. Finally, select Restart
Restart Windows

Wait for your system to restart and go back to Roblox afterward to see if the game will load successfully.

3. Change Your Browser.

Roblox recommends specific browsers to play the game on your computer. Some maps may not work if you try using an unsupported browser, or the entire game won’t load. To avoid this, switch to a compatible web browser if you want to access Roblox.

You can try using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, which are both supported and recommended by Roblox.

4. Check Your Internet Connection.

Another reason why Roblox is stuck on the loading screen is if your network is running slow. If you are using an unstable network, Roblox won’t be able to communicate with the servers and load its resources.

To verify this, perform a speed test on your network using Fast.com to measure its current bandwidth.

If the test shows that your connection is the problem, restart your modem or router. Unplug your router from the wall outlet and let it rest for 5 to 10 seconds. After that, plug back in your router to the outlet to restart it.

Once done, re-run the test on your network to check if its performance has improved. If not, report the issue to your service provider and ask them to fix their service.

5. Disable Your Extensions (Ad-Blocker).

Since Roblox is a free-to-play game, it displays advertisements on its website to earn some revenue to maintain the game. If you are running ad-blockers on your browser, the game may not work correctly.

To fix this, follow the guide below to disable your browser extensions:

  1. On your browser, click on Options and choose Settings
  2. Now, go to the Extensions tab.
  3. Finally, turn off your browser extensions, especially ad-blockers.

Restart your browser afterward and go back to the Roblox to check if the problem is solved.

6. Allow Roblox Through Your Firewall.

Roblox Player may not have access to your network, which explains why it’s stuck on the loading screen. To fix this, make sure that the game is allowed through your Windows Defender Firewall.

Check out the steps below to allow Roblox through your firewall:

  1. First, press the Windows key on your keyboard and search for ‘Windows Defender Firewall’.
  2. After that, click on Open.
  3. Inside Windows Firewall, click on ‘Allow an App or Feature Through Windows Defender Firewall’.
  4. Now, locate Roblox from the list of programs on your system.
  5. Lastly, ensure that it’s allowed to access both your Private and Public Networks

Once done, go back to Roblox and try launching a game to see if it will successfully load.

7. Turn Off Your Antivirus Software.

If you are using third-party antivirus, it may be blocking Roblox Studio’s access to your system. When this happens, the game cannot load its resources and won’t be able to connect with the servers.

To fix this, turn off any third-party antivirus you have before playing Roblox.

On the other hand, you can add Roblox to your antivirus’ safelist if it has this option. This will put Roblox on the exception list, and your antivirus software won’t restrict it anymore.

8. Update Your Display Drivers.

Although Roblox doesn’t require a lot of graphics power to run, it still uses your video card to render the entire game. If Roblox is stuck on the loading screen, try updating your display drivers to see if the problem goes away.

You can update your drivers on Windows by doing the following:

  1. First, press the Windows + X keys on your keyboard to open the Quick Acess Menu
  2. Next, click on Device Manager and expand the Display Adapters tab.
  3. Lastly, right-click on your video card and choose Update Driver. Follow the on-screen prompts to continue.

See the step-by-step guide below to uninstall Roblox on your computer:

  1. On your computer, access the Start Menu and look for the Control Panel.
  2. After that, click on Open to launch it.
  3. Now, choose the Uninstall a Program option and look for Roblox on the list.
  4. Finally, right-click on Roblox and select Uninstall
